on the website of Casa Le Duc Casa
Le Duc is a small villa in Camposol.
Camposol is a newly built white Spanish
hamlet (pueblo blanco) near Mazarrón
in the province of Murcia.
The
fully furnitured house with swimming pool is made accessible for
people in a wheelchair. Thresholds
are removed and there is a ramp to get into the house. The
kitchentop can be brought on the hight of a wheelchair.
There are supports next to the toilet and the toilet has a removable
higher
seat. There is also a specious shower with shower seat.
The
livingroom is airconditioned, there is a wood burner and a satelite
receiver
with, among other channels, BBC Prime and BBC World.
There are two bedrooms, one holds a double bed and a single bed
which is
higher than a normal bed, and has electronically controlled head
and feet
sections (as you might find in a hospital). This bed also has a
free standing
lifting pole. The other bedroom has two single beds.
Also, there is a (double) settee-bed in the living room.
The
pool (3 X 7mtr and 140 cm deep) is 45 cm above ground level (see
picture in
the left frame). This way it is possible to slide
over from the wheelchair to the edge
of the pool, and into the water.

Below is a picture of the main road in Camposol. On the right hand
side is
the neighbourhood in which the house is situated.
Looking
at the picture above you will understand why Camposol is called
Pueblo Blanco or the white town.
Eventually there will be as many as 5000 houses in Campsol.
Camposol
has an 18 hole golf course, shopping centre,
tennis court, public swimming pool and a conference centre. There
is also
a large international hotel under construction.
Our
house is on the corner of the street (the red square) with premises
of 351 m².

The
plot is 60 m2.
Front- and rear terrace each 30 m2.
Solarium/rooftop terrace 50 m2.
Around
the house: parking
place for the car, path around the house with
ramp to the rear terrace. The garden has small trees and
plants (a small palm, an olive tree, a hibiscus, a ficus benjaminus,
an oleander and five bouganvilles). The garden is covered with gravel.
